Responsible consumption, production and climate change
We act in accordance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations.
We take actions to minimize our impact on climate change and to reduce our cardboard footprint.
We have introduced a Waste Minimization Program and we make efforts to conserve natural resources in our operations and sourcing practices. Our Waste Minimization Policy has 25 measurable short and long-term goals which are realized with a 85% success ratio year to year.
We are FSC certified and we educate both our customers and suppliers about the necessity of responsible sourcing.
- Our goal is to produce 100% items from recycled materials in the paper product category. Today 80% of our cardboard solutions are made from waste-based raw materials.
- Being assessed and certified as meeting the requirements of FSC Chain-of-Custody we aim to cooperate only with FSC-certified suppliers. Today we are proud that 100% of our cardboard manufacturers are FSC-certified.
- We want to achieve net-zero emissions from our operations in 2030.
- We minimize the environmental impacts arising from transportation and logistics. All of our cardboard solutions are packed in compact boxes and delivered flat to be mounted at the point of sales.
- We support the process of forest restoration aiming to plant 500 trees this year. We plan to double the amount of planted trees each year.
Gender Equality
We provide favorable work environment for woman and young mothers by:
1. Supporting women in their professional career development at every level of the organizational structure in the company.
- Initially our goal was to obtain a level of at least 51% of woman employed on managerial positions in the company structure.
- Today we have successfully exceeded our expectations. 70% of managerial positions in the company are held by women.
2. Ensuring a supportive work environment for young mothers both before and after the birth of a child. We create favorable working conditions after maternity leave, such as freedom to set part-time working hours and flexible/hybrid work.
- Initially our goal was to obtain a ratio of 80% successful come-backs after the period of maternity leave.
- Today we have successfully exceeded our expectations achieving a ratio of 100%. Every young mother is coming back to continue her career in our company after the maternity leave.
- Moreover, 50% of young mothers returning to a favorable work environment in POS Lab International decided to have another child.
Reduced Inequalities
We create structures and an environment ensuring that every employee regardless of age, gender, religious beliefs, sexual preferences, nationality or other dimensions of diversity, feels like an important and unique person in the Team, with equal opportunities for career development resulting from substantive reasons by:
1. Ensuring equal access to company resources regardless of nationality. Despite the company's location in Poland, the official language of supportive departments is English.
- Our goal is to diversify our workforce in term of nationality and culture in order to create an interesting and inspiring work environment.
- Today, as a result of this approach, we have employees coming from 6 countries and 2 continents serving our customers in 6 different languages.
2. Supporting young people without professional experience. We have signed agreements with career offices of several universities. The purpose is to activate students for professional work in the form of internships during their studies and, as a consequence, employ them in our company.
- Every year we welcome young people on internships, part-time employment or full employment.
- Our program was accomplished by more than 15 students or graduates working today thanks to this on different positions in international companies.
